Our Supporters
The Freelance Players has received support from numerous
individuals, foundations and corporations, and the government since its
incorporation in 1977. These institutional supporters include the A.C. Ratshesky
Foundation, Brookline Community Fund, Brookline Council on the Arts and
Humanities, the Corning Foundation, the Jessie B. Cox Charitable Trust,
the Overbrook Foundation, Polaroid, the Reebok Foundation, and the Alice
Tully Foundation.
Urban Improv, founded in 1992, has received support from many generous
individuals and institutions including Carpenter & Company; Fleet Boston
Financial; John Hancock Insurance Company; Hill, Holliday, Connors, Cosmopulos,
Inc.; the Lyons Group; and New England Development & Management LP.
The Massachusetts Cultural Council has provided leadership grants (Education,
Endowment, Operating, Organizational) for more than two decades. Many generous
individuals respond every year to the annual appeal which supports Freelance
programs and the Scholarship fund. The Freelance Players, Inc. is a 501(c)(3)
nonprofit organization.
